PIEMONTE - THE REGION

Piedmont is the “foot of the mountain” province stretching from the alps in the north to the Mediterranean Sea in the south. The region is known for its fantastic authentic food and wine. The “slow food” tradition originate from this region.

The house is located in the Asti region in the heart of Piedmont. Gentle hills alternate with valleys are of unique beauty to provide a kaleidoscope of magnificent sceneries and landscapes shaped by of nature and man.

The Asti province and specifically the Lange district, is a worldwide famous area for its elegant red wines, based on Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo (Barbaresco, Barolo) grapes, and its exotic white truffles. Many local wineries can be visited in the area around the house and some of the most famous Moscato (sparkling Moscato d'Asti) vineyards can be seen from the house.

The nearby Lange, Roero and Monferrato wine-growing areas are UNESCO World Heritage Sites for their magnificent sceneries and landscapes shaped by of nature and man.

Despite all the natural beauty and excellent food/wine Piedmont is far less touristic in contrary to many other Italian regions, and hence leave visitors with a unique and authentic experiences of the true Italy.
